Shortly before 4pm on Thursday, there was a storm in the northeast of Mallorca.
At Cala Mesquida in Capdepera, two swimmers were struck by lightning - a German man aged 51 and a Swiss man aged 65.
One was killed instantly and the other lay motionless before beginning to convulse. Emergency services were unable to revive him.
