The new digital edition of the Majorcan Daily Bulletin was launched on Friday night and presented at a spectacular multimedia gala event held at the Social Club in Palma.
Some 200 guests, including VIPs, captains of industry and the local authorities attended the event hosted by the President of the Grup Serra media organisation, Carmen Serra, and the Managing Editor of the Majorca Daily Bulletin, Jason Moore.
Speeches were also made by the British Consul General for Catalonia and the Balearics, Lloyd Milen MBE and the Balearic Minister for Tourism, Iago Negueruela.
And there were video messages from readers and friends of the Bulletin from across the world, such as Sir Richard Branson from Necker Island, Lord Jeffrey Archer from London, the British Ambassador to Spain, Hugh Elliott, from Madrid and award-winning Australian journalist Chris Reason from in front of the Opera House in Sydney.
The new website was also given a very special welcome by the famous town crier, Tony Appleton.
The launch of the new digital global platform coincided with the recent launch of the new weekly print edition of the Mallorca Bulletin, which is published every Friday.
The website is the cornerstone of the brand’s new multimedia project as it embraces a bright and exciting future.
After the corporate presentation, guests enjoyed a poolside cocktail party at the Social Club on the sea front in Palma.
