The local ministry for health said that tap water in some areas of the island was not up to standard and it shouldn´t be drank or used for cooking.
Boffins have pointed to two areas of the island Santanyi and Santa Margalida where tap water has a high level of nitrates.
The local ministry for health said that the whole water system would have to be overhauled to fix the problem.,
