The Balearic Ministry for Health today reported 3,128 new cases of Covid in the Balearics and four more deaths, taking the death toll since the start of the pandemic to 1,117.
By islands, Ibiza has the highest number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants, 4,349 followed by Minorca, 3,685, Majorca, 3,124 and Formntera, 1,923.
The deceased, all in Majorca, were two women aged 79 and 82 who died on 15 January, an 80-year-old man who died on 17 January and a 77-year-old woman on 19 January, according to the Ministry for Health.
The cumulative incidence rate for the past 14 days in the Balearics stood at 3,316 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The 7-day incidence was 1,408 cases.

As for the healthcare situation, yesterday there were 86 covid-19 patients in intensive care in the Balearics, five fewer than the day before.
Intensive care now has an occupancy rate of 25.6%, which means that it remains at “very high risk”.
In addition there were 395 patients on hospital wards, eight fewer than on Monday but 10% more than a week ago.
The number of active cases yesterday stood at 68,604, an increase of 12% over the previous week.
There were 68,123 people being monitored by Primary Care.
Of the 3,128 new cases reported yesterday, 2,098 were in Majorca, where there were 78 patients with covid in intensive care (4 less than the day before), 311 patients on the ward (11 less), and 51,971 with mild symptoms.
In Minorca there were 468 new cases, one patient in intensive care (one less), 10 on the wards (2 less) and 5,511 patients being treated by primary care (107 more).
The ministyry also reported 432 new positive cases in Ibiza, where 74 patients were on hospital ward (five more) and seven in intensive care - no change - while 10,145 people with covid remained confined to their homes (96 more).
In Formentera, 24 new cases were reported and there were 496 mild or asymptomatic patients who were recovering at home (12 more).
