The Monday report from the Balearic health ministry indicates 2,201 new positive cases of coronavirus, 54 more than on Sunday. By island - Mallorca 1,830; Ibiza 231; Minorca 39; Formentera 1; others unassigned.
On Sunday, the cases were Mallorca 1,535; Ibiza 365; Minorca 172; Formentera 9. The test rate on Sunday was 34.30%. For Monday, this is up to 36.00%. The seven-day positivity test rate has gone up slightly - from 33.80% on Sunday to 34.04%.
The number of tests related to the Monday cases was similar to the number on Sunday, which was down by more than 4,000 compared with Saturday. It is quite likely, therefore, that the ministry's Tuesday report will show a more significant rise in daily cases; the figure clearly depends on the number of tests.
