The Pollensa council is spending 200,000 euros up-grading and enlarging the tourist information office in the port. Building work got underway today.
A council spokerperson said that the existing office was being up-graded so that it could offer visiting tourists a better service.
The building work is expected to be completed before the summer season gets underway.
