The National Police have arrested a Nigerian citizen for drug trafficking. He had flown from the Netherlands, and during a routine check his behaviour led National Police officers to suspect that he might have been carrying drugs and was a "mule".
Initial inspection found that there were numerous items inside his body. He was transferred to Son Espases Hospital where it was verified that inside his intestine was a large number of date-shaped capsules. Had they burst, they would have seriously endangered his life.
He eventually evacuated 62 capsules. Their combined weight was one kilo, and they contained either cocaine or heroin.
