Yesterday evening, the Royal Family posed for the media at Palma's Marivent Palace. King Felipe observed that it was a hot day, which it most certainly was, though by seven o'clock, which was when the family met the media, it might have cooled down slightly.
The King, Queen Letizia and their daughters - Leonor, the Princess of Asturias, and the Infanta Sofia - were dressed with a fashionable summer look. This was the fourth time that the family had held this media occasion and, for the first time, the children posed for photos on their own.
Earlier in the day, the King had joined crew mates on board the yacht Aifos to compete in the first day of this year’s 36th Copa del Rey MAPFRE sailing regatta in the Bay of Palma.
The King, the Queen, and Sofia, the Queen Mother, will hold the annual reception for civil society at the Almudaina Palace on Friday evening. On Saturday, the King will attend the trophy-giving presentation for the Copa del Rey, which is to be held at Ses Voltes in Palma.
On Monday next week, Prime Minister Rajoy will come to Majorca for a meeting with the King at the Marivent.
