Martin Freeman, known for his roles in The Office, Sherlock and The Hobbit trilogy, is in Majorca to film an advert which is being shot by Palma Pictures.
Locations for this are at Sa Fortalesa in Puerto Pollensa, which was of course used as Richard Roper's house in The Night Manager. That TV series led to Dani Sampedro of Palma Pictures winning, along with Tom Howard, the award for outstanding locations in a contemporary television series.
Freeman will be spending a few days in Majorca. The production involves the participation of more than one hundred extras and while there is a good deal of secrecy surrounding the filming, it is understood that it features an open-air wedding and the happy couple dancing in a marquee.
His role as Tim in The Office brought Freeman to prominence. The series won the best TV comedy award in 2002. For Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit trilogy, he was named best actor by the Empire Awards for the first part - An Unexpected Journey - while he received a Bafta for best supporting actor for his role as Dr. Watson in Sherlock.
