Wednesday evening marked a historic moment in Palma when Royal Enfield opened its first exclusive showroom in the city.
Royal Enfield is the oldest manufacturer of motorbikes in the world. Its classic designs and accessories are now available at calle Manuel Guasp 7 just off the Avenidas.
Royal Enfield was the brand name under which the Enfield Motor Cycle Company (founded 1909) manufactured motorcycles, bicycles, lawnmowers and stationary engines. The first Royal Enfield motorcycle was built in 1901; the original British concern was defunct by 1970.
The Enfield Cycle Company is responsible for the design and original production of the Royal Enfield Bullet, the longest-lived motorcycle design in history. The new model is on show and sale in Palma.
The first showroom in Spain opened in Madrid in 2015. Further outlets opened last year in Barcelona and Valencia. Sales in Spain increased by 65 per cent, hence why Royal Enfield has now moved into Palma courtesy of Motorien SLU, which has over 30 years of experience in the world of motorbikes.
The Enfield Cycle Company began business making parts for the Enfield rifle. This legacy is reflected in the company logo, a cannon, and their motto - "Made Like A Gun".
