The King of Spain's brother-in-law, Iñaki Urdangarin, was sentenced to six years and three months in prison by a Palma court this morning for fraud. His wife, Princess Cristina, was cleared but will still pay a fine of 265,000 euros. Her prosecution had not been sought by the state but had been brought by Manos Limpias, which will be obliged to pay all the princess' costs. Urdangarin's former business partner, Diego Torres, received an eight and a half year sentence and former Balearic President, Jaume Matas, was given a three year and eight month jail term. They had all been accused of defrauding millions of euros in public funds.
