A 25-year-old British tourist is in a serious condition at Son Espases Hospital, having fallen from a balcony at the TRH Magalluf Hotel yesterday evening.
The incident occurred at around quarter to eight. Reports vary as to which storey the man fell from: either first or second. He had suffered head and facial trauma as a result of the fall.
Investigations by the Guardia Civil suggest that he had been drinking.
He is part of a group of friends holidaying in Magalluf.
This is the first case of serious injury which would appear to be as a result of so-called "balconing" in the resort this season.
