Following the report concerning the difficulties posed to the users of wheelchairs and mobility scooters in Puerto Pollensa because of the high kerbs created by the pedestrianisation work, the town hall''s councillor for urban planning, Tomeu Cifre Bennàsar, told the Bulletin today that solutions will be in place within two weeks: in effect, therefore, the final part of the first phase of the pedestrianisation scheme.
The councillor explained that the level of the front line road at crossing-points will be raised to permit accessibility. He said that as the whole of the road (to Llenaire) has been under construction for the first phase of the project, movement of trucks and machinery has been an issue in attending to work on the road itself.
