The Alternativa per Pollença is planning on submitting information to the anti-corruption prosecution service regarding contracts between Pollensa town hall and the Pollensa-based Nordesport Balear. Party spokesperson Marina Llobera says that in 2009 the Alternativa denounced contracts that the town hall had entered into, and that these included Nordesport.
The development in Pollensa follows events on Friday when officers with the judicial police service went to Alcudia town hall and took away all documentation related to contracts between the town hall and Nordesport, covering the period 2003 to 2014. The basis of the investigation is whether or not these contracts complied with local government contract law, whether there was a specific relationship between Nordesport and a town hall employee and whether the contracts entailed an "elevated" cost.
