Hundreds of people gathered at the beach in Santa Ponsa on Sunday night to celebrate the Holi festival of light and colour. It is an ancient Hindu religious festival which has become popular with non-Hindus in many parts of South Asia, as well as people of other communities outside Asia, and now it has come to Santa Ponsa.
It is primarily observed in India, Nepal, and other regions of the world with significant populations of Hindus or people of Indian origin. It proved to be hugely successful in Majorca and it is set to take place again next year.
