Firstly there were Palma and Soller, and now Deya has to be added to the important places where the work of the artist Joan Miró is shown.
On Wednesday evening at 7pm, the exhibition “Miró a Deià” opened at Belmond La Residencia in the Tramuntana village.
Artist in residence at the hotel, Juan Waelder, has been creating work and exhibiting it in the gardens for five years, and it was he who prepared a serious project that was presented to the artist’s grandson, Joan Punyet Miró.
The exhibition, therefore, has the full co-operation of the Miró estate as well as the town hall in Deya.
The graphic works by Miró, from his “Serie Mallorca,” are now on display in the Sa Tafona gallery at La Residencia, and the exhibition will last until the end of the month.
