Palma.—The President of the Majorcan Hotel Federation, Aurelio Vazquez, yesterday called on the “new parliament” which will be formed after next month’s local elections, to stand by the hotel sector and to ensure that investment and stability in the sector continues.
“Without the current stability, the economy will collapse” he warned the hotel sector and current members of the government, including the Balearic President, Jose Ramon Bauza, during a meeting .
The outcome of the local elections remains somewhat uncertain with a number of new smaller parties on the political scene this year but, which ever party or parties form the next government, Vazquez called on the new
governing authority “to maintain the current mechanisms of work and cooperation because we’re now well established in an era of coparticipation and that has got to continue to the benefit of Majorca.
