Balearic patients are waiting over 110 days for an operation in IB-Salut public hospitals.
The average waiting time for a patient to be operated on last year in Balearic public hospitals rose to 115 days.
As of 31 December 2014, there were 14, 487 patients on the waiting list in need of surgery, 347 more than the previous year and 2,494 more than when the current government (Partido Popular) rose to power.
The average wait for a priority and serious case was 34, 13 days while priority for oncology cases (prostate, bladder, gastric, intestinal cancers) the average wait was 21,73 days.
The number of patients waiting for a first consultation with a specialist has also rose by 14.7 percent.
At the end of 2014, there were 58,606 patients in that situation.
The number of patients waiting for a diagnostic test slumped by 25. 17 percent to 46,165, some 15,527 less than in the same period the previous year.
