This winter, Palma’s city centre hotels have experienced a significant increase in business, according to the Councillor for Urban Development.Over the past 18 months, a number of new small urban boutique hotels have been springing up in and around the city centre and Palma Coucillor for Urban Development, Jesus Valls, announced this week that the long standing Nacar building along Jaime III is going to be transformed into a four star hotel.
The new hotel, which is going to be in a prime position will offer 69 rooms and accommodation for 142 people. The property already held a license for a hotel and now some two million euros are going to be invested into transforming what has been a block of offices and cafeteria, into one of Palma’s latest luxury hotels.
The property is also going to be expanded by some 500 square metres to include the balconies at the rear of the building.
