Majorca woke to a dusting of snow on the mountain yesterday, proof that temperatures have dropped recently.And, no significant improvement in the unsettled weather conditions is expected until the weekend, at the earliest.
Over Tuesday night, temperatures fell to below freezing in Bunyola and struggled to remain above zero in most other parts of the island.
Even in Palma, the temperature plummeted to just 3.7ºC and today, condittions could worsen. The Balearics are just one of 31 regions of Spain on one form of extreme weather alert or another. Temperatures in the Balearics are going to remain low with the snow line today forecast to drop to just 500 metres.
What is more, the region is going to be placed on level one, yellow alert for heavy rain and high seas.
