Puerto Andratx was yesterday ranked one of the most expensive and exclusive locations in the world to buy a property, according to real estate agency Engel & Volkers.
Palma.—The port made the top 25 most expensive property locations in the world, with the price per square metre reaching on some properties the 27, 000 euros mark.
Puerto Andratx, the only Spanish location on the list came 19th in the ranking which was headed by Saint Jean Cap Ferrat on the Costa Azul, Hong Kong and East Hampton in the United States of America.
The agency took into consideration recent property sales and market movements in different areas of the world to select the top 25.
A villa in Claude Vignon Avenue in the French peninsula was recently sold for 120 million euros.
The property measured 600 square metres , placing the price per square metre at 200,000 euros.
The sale of several apartments in Hong Kong’s famous “Twelve Peaks” neighbourhood took the former British colony in to second place.
