Sharp rise in hotel prices in the Balearics

Hotel prices in the Balearics registered the sharpest rise in the whole of Spain during the first nine months of this year.
 On average prices have gone up by 3.1 percent, according to a report revealed yesterday by the National Statistics Institute.
 But the Balearics was not the only region where prices rose sharply in the tourist industry.
All the communities in Spain registered an increase in hotel prices. Catalonia and Valencia Community, with  hikes of 1.9 percent, followed in the top three.  The Canary Islands, Ceuta and Mellila and Aragon were the regions where prices rose the least, with 0.8, 0.8 and 0.3 percent respectively.
