Palma.—The Balearic Ministry for Education, Culture and Universities yesterday proposed that minimum services be in place on Monday, when Balearic teachers are going on strike.
The Ministry has recommended that services at infant and primary school run at 30 percent, secondary and technical colleges 25 percent and special needs schools, 20 percent.
However, teachers’ unions were reluctant to accept the proposal yesterday while the opposition Socialist party accused the Balearic President of having destroyed the regional education system.
