Mallorca Cricket Club’s plight to find a new home appears to be moving in the right direction and the club’s future may well be secured.
Palma.—Club Chairman Frank Leavers told the Bulletin on Thursday that “all avenues” are going to be pursued to make sure that the cricket club remains in existence and continues to host hundreds of cricketers who visit the island every year.
And yesterday, Angie Guerrero, Calvia Council for the Foreign Community, who has offered her assistance to the club, confirmed that a meeting between the Cricket Club, Calvia Council’s Sports Department and Viva Hotels, the group poised to build a four-hotel complex on where the current cricket ground lies, has been scheduled for Monday at 1pm.
