The tourist industry and related bodies have been given an extension to lodge complaints and objections to clauses in the new Tourism Law.
Palma.—Yesterday, all sectors of the Balearic tourist industry, minus the hoteliers because they support the government and approve of the new decree being introduced in the law which works in their favour, met to discuss primarily the swiftness with which the Ministry for Tourism is trying to push the new decree through parliament.
The Confederation of the Balearic Business Associations, the small to medium sized business association PIMEM, the association of Balearic travel agents, AVIBA, the Majorcan association of tourist attractions, AMAT, and others were all present at the emergency meeting which was called to also run their thumbs over a number of clauses governing holiday lets and car hire, for example.
