Palma.—The Club de Mar is planing to invest some 60 million euros on reforming and modernising the yacht club while also opening it up more to the public.
The project will first have to be approved by the State Port Authority before it is presented to the Balearic Port Authority, but the yacht club is confident that work will get under way in 2018 and be completed within a period of three years.
The Club de Mar hopes that the project will secure its concession of the yacht club for another 25 years. At the moment, the Club de Mar has 572 moorings and covers an area 66,243 square metres.
Under the new project, the number of moorings will be reduced slightly to 539 in order to free up a total of 93,393n square metres which will enable the yacht club to provide a better quality of services to its clients.
