Palma.—The Balearic Environmental Commission yesterday gave the Playa De Palma Renovation Plan the green light yesterday.
In theory, all that remains now is for the Council of Majorca to give the project the go ahead later this month and work on the 350 million euro reformation project can finally get under way.
The head of the Playa de Palma Consortium, Palma’s Councillor for Tourism, Alvaro Gijon, said yesterday that he was extremely pleased with the decision, adding that in the short term, some 350 million euros is going to be invested in changing the face of the Playa de Palma.
