The 20 odd Romanian nationals living in the illegal campsite by the Sa Riera canal have this week rejected the help of Social Services and the Local Police.

Palma.—The authorities visited the Palma campsite recently  to inform the campers  of possible options available to them, but their efforts were in vain, as it seems the group, which  has being growing over the last few months, does not seem keen in changing its lifestyle.
Social services’ workers reported that there were no children, elderly or citizens in poor health in the group.
According to the authorities, the group is comprised of 20 Romanian nationals of Gipsy background, who established their homes for the summer season, but that are likely to leave when the season ends.
