Palma.—A 22-year-old British holiday maker was one of two people who suffered serious injuries after falling from balconies yesterday.
The Briton fell while trying to climb from the balcony to his apartment through a window after having apparently lost his keys during the night out in the resort.
The accident occurred at 7am and he was rushed to Son Espases Hospital in a serious condition after the fall from the second floor apartment in Punta Ballena.
The Briton, who had been out celebrating his final night on holiday in Majorca, was later joined by another 22-year-old who fell five metres from a balcony in Arenal and also suffered serious injuries.
On Sunday, a 20-year-old Danish holiday maker fell to his death from a balcony in Magalluf while in the early hours of Tuesday, two tourists aged 20 and 22 suffered multiple injuries after falling from balconies in Cala Ratjada and Playa d’En Bossa in Ibiza, causing serious concerns for the local authorities.
