The publicity campaign which was to be launched this weekend in the UK as part of the government’s rapid reaction plan to install some law and order in Magalluf has been postponed.
alma.—The Balearic Government was forced to back track yesterday afternoon after having announced earlier in the day, that the publicity campaign was going to mount today.
The campaign was due to have appeared in national newspapers and on social media networks encouraging responsible and quality tourism. The aim was to try and persuade British holiday makers in Magalluf to behave better.
But, it appears the authorities have not been able to agree on how to word the campaign and that will be discussed again when the Balearic Tourism Commission meets again on Tuesday.
Highly anticipated
If the highly anticipated campaign does go ahead, it could be within the next week to days.
It has also apparently been postponed because of the action which is going to be taken here to tackle the problems in Magalluf.
