There was national outrage and overseas despair yesterday after videos of sex for booze games in Magalluf were posted on social media.
Palma.—The pub crawl games are apparently nothing new but have slipped under the radar for the past few years, however, since a number of videos have been posted on social media, the “sex for booze” antics have sparked outrage.
Here in Palma, women’s rights groups have called for a police and judicial investigation after a video showing a woman practicing a sex act on 24 men was posted.
The Balearic Women’s Institute described the acts as “degrading and discriminating” for women although, they were forced to admit that if all involved were consenting adults, there is probably little the authorities or the police could do.
That said, the eco-nationalist party MES has called for the bars permitting this behaviour to go ahead on their premises to be closed down.
The Mayor of Calvia, Manu Onieva, has expressed his indignation and announced that the council will be launching its own investigation.
