Palma.—Cabrera National Park is going to have a 24-hour basic medical service this summer.
The Balearic Nature Institute (Ibanat) announced yesterday that members of the Red Cross are going to be permanently based on the island for the next three months, starting this week, to offer basic First Aid.
Weekly teams
Until now, all the park had was a first aid kit, but now the island will have trained staff on hand round the clock to handle all sorts of basic cases.
Patients will no longer have to wait for a 112 team to reach the park to provide medical assistance.
The teams will be on hand from Monday to Sunday and will be changed every week.
