Palma.— Turmoil is installed once again in the Balearic Government. Opposition party (PSOE) member Jaume Colom has yesterday suggested the party is seriously considering asking the Council of Majorca to cease all construction work to build Ca’n Valles car park in Deya.
Colom and the socialist party argue that the car park is being built on a “cultural heritage site” and that the cons of the project vastly outnumber the pros.
Apart from the cultural heritage reasons (the park will be situated in the Tramuntana mountainrange a UNESCOsite) it will have a maximum capacity for 18 vehicles, a small number considering the 634 square metres made available for the completion of the project.
