The central government delegate to the Balearics, Teresa Palmer, yesterday met with Chiefs of Police and the Majorcan Hotel Federation to explain this summer’s police operation.
Palma.—And, she pledged a major crack down on street prostitution and illegal street trading in the main resorts such as Magalluf and the Playa de Palma.
During yesterday’s meeting with representatives from the Majorcan Hotel Federation, the National Police and the Guardia Civil, the central government delegate discussed the ongoing security problems facing the police in Majorca, in particular Magalluf.
Gangs of violent street prostitutes have already sparked calls from bar owners and residents in the resort for a police crack down following a number of incidents already this season.
