The Balearics now boasts the most Blue Flag beaches and marinas in Spain than any other region with a total of 85 and most of those are here in Majorca.
Palma.—The total number of beaches awarded Blue Flags in the Balearics was 61, 15 more than last year and the total number of marinas flying the flag has risen by eight to 24, although two marinas have been stripped of their flags.
In Majorca, the beaches that have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag this year are Oratori, Cala Vinyes and Ses Penyes Rotges in Calvia; Cala Marçal, Cala Ferrera, Cala Sa Nau and la Platja S’Arenal (de Portocolom) in Felanitx and la Cala Mondragó in Santanyí.
The marinas to have been awarded the blue flag in Majorca this year are; Real Club Nautico Portopetro (Santanyi), el Port Cala Figuera (Santanyí), Porto Colom (Felanitx) and Port de Porto Cristo (Manacor), Port de Pollensa, Port d’Andraitx and Port Adriano (Calvia).
