Palma.—The Pirates Adventure Show held its annual charity event in Magalluf on Saturday night and, as always, it was a huge success.
This year, all of the money raised at the event is going to be donated to five charities.
Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, which Pirates has been supporting right from the start of its annual fundraising nights, Cancer Support Group Mallorca, Leche los Lunes, La Sala del Niño del Hospital Son Espases and Stop FA, a charity which looks after people suffering from Friedreich’s ataxia which is an autosomal recessive inherited disease that causes progressive damage to the nervous system, resulting in symptoms ranging from gait disturbance to speech problems; it can also lead to illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes, but does not affect thinking ability.
