Palma.— ParcBIT, or the Balearic Technology Innovation Park as it is also known, is to become the new Silicon Valley of world tourism (nicknamed for the South Bay portion of the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California, United States, home of companies like Google and Apple).
President of the Balearic Government, Jose Ramon Bauza admitted yesterday during a welcoming ceremony to tourism company Quonetx Tourism to ParcBIT, the park has all the conditions to become a reference in developing technology that could be used to improve tourism in the region.
“We have everything to succeed,” Bauza said. “No one knows more about technology platforms that can be applied to the tourism sector than you.
ParcBIT could be the “new Silicon Valley of technology for tourism”
