Some 37 percent of Spanish hoteliers are considering raising their hotel prices according to a poll revealed yesterday by Tripadvisor.
The percentage is nonetheless considerably lower than hoteliers from other parts of the globe (52 percent).
Overall the majority are expecting a good summer season and have said they plan to do some sort of refurbishments in their establishments as well as investing more in marketing their businesses.
In terms of travel destinations for local citizens 95 percent of those who took part in the poll revealed they are planning to spend their holidays in Spain.
Those who plan to go abroad have said they would prefer to head to the U.S.A, Australia and the Caribbean Islands but will most likely settle for some holidays in Italy, Portugal or France.
Most agree that the price is the most important thing when choosing a destination as are special offers and packages.
Spanish hotels to raise prices
