Balearic airports are getting ready to handle a record number of air passengers this holiday season, the Director of Palma Airport announced yesterday.
Palma.—Jose Antonio Alvarez, said yesterday that Spanish Airport Authority, AENA, has confirmed that this holiday season there will be 34 million flight seats available to the Balearics, nine percent more than last year.
Over all, the UK is the biggest market, dominating in Ibiza and Minorca and second only to the Germans in Majorca, however, it is proving to be one of the most loyal markets having posted annual increases in the number of passengers to Palma, Ibiza and Minorca of around 4.3, 4.8 and 1.7 percent respectively.
