Palma.—The National Police Homicide Squad is investigating the death of a middle aged women in Can Picafort.
Her body was found on Son Baulo beach near the Hotel Ferrer Concorde by a passerby at 8am yesterday morning.
The Guardia Civil, was on the scene within minutes of the alarm being raised and cordoned off the area.
According to the police, the victim is aged between 45 and 50 and that the cause of death was a severe blow to the head.
Members from the Homicide Squad in Palma were deployed to the scene to take over the investigation and immediately, teams of officers began combing the beach for clues, in particular a possible murder weapon.
