Immigrants setting camps all over Palma are developing into a major headache for local authorities and one they are struggling to resolve.
Palma.—Their main problem is that they tear down the camp sites and those living there keep setting it up elsewhere and on occasion after several weeks or months return to where they were before.
The latest similar situation is the one by Sa Riera park river bed, right in front of Palma’s Municipal cemetery.
Just months after the authorities tore down the area, where a community of at least ten families lived, and cleaned up the area, which was full of rubbish and litter, a group of immigrants have settled in again.
Three shacks have already been built and no one knows for sure how many more could be built.
