Filling up in the Balearics is becoming increasingly expensive and transport companies are calling for the same tax breaks on fuels as the Canaries.
Palma.—Last month, according to official figures provided by the Ministry for Industry, on average, a litre of diesel in the Balearics cost 1.415 euros - the highest in Spain and nearly 43 percent more than in January 2010.
And, the average price of a litre of petrol last month was 1.45 euros, 32.4 percent more than four years ago.
So, filling up a 50 litre tank of petrol in the Balearics costs 72.5 euros compared 67 euros in the region of Aragon, which has the cheapest fuel in the country.
