The world’s largest cruise ship, the Allure of the Seas, will from 2015 call in Majorca once a week, Royal Caribbean, who owns the ship said yesterday.
Palma.— The Oasis-class cruise ship owned and operated by Royal Caribbean International is only 50 millimetres larger than the world’s second largest liner, the Oasis of the Seas also owned by Royal Caribbean. The Allure of the Seas will make Barcelona its main port of call, stopping in Majorca once a week, the first time a ship of this magnitude will be based in the Mediterranean sea. Up until now, the Royal Caribbean vessel was based in Miami. For the nautical trade in Majorca and Spain, the presence of the Allure of the Seas means not only a proud moment but also a significant financial boost.
