Judge Jose Castro, who is investigation the business activities of Princess Cristina and her husband, yesterday met tax inspectors and police.
Palma.—The judge in the embezzlement case took statements from tax inspectors and a police chief in an attempt to shed more light into the Princess’s alleged wrongdoing.
But, while Castro continues with his investigation ahead of when the Princess appears in a Palma court on 8 February, the anti corruption attorney in the Balearics, Pedro Horrach, has been highly critical of Castro.
Horrach has said that the claims against Cristina are “based on the absurd and denigrating theory of an alleged biased manipulation,” a reference to recent suggestions that the tax inspectors deliberately cleared Cristina in their report despite evidence to the contrary.
