Palma.—Rosa Estaras, the Partido Popular’s European MP for the Balearics, yesterday expressed her support for the European Union’s ruling on regulating the sale of sangria.
In accordance with the new ruling, only sangria made in Spain and Portugal will be allowed to be sold under that name after the European Parliament green-lighted new wine labelling rules on Tuesday evening.
“This is excellent news for Spanish vineyards and the country’s wine industry as a whole,” Estaras said yesterday.
