Tobacco sales in the Balearics fell last year by almost 14 million euros, a report published by the Tobacco Market Commission revealed yesterday.
Palma.—Since 2011, when the current laws restricting smoking were introduced, sales have been in constant decline.
Last year 421 million euros were spent on tobacco throughout the region’s tobacconists. The previous year that figure was around 435 million euros, while in 2011, over 475 million euros were spent on the product by Balearic residents and visitors.
