Palma.—Palma’s Son San Joan airport handled a total of 22.75 million passengers last year, 0.5 percent more than during 2012, according to the airport authority AENA.
The biggest increase was in the international market, up 4.7 percent with 17,85 million passengers while the domestic market suffered a down turn of 12.5 percent, nearly 5 million passengers.
And, the market which posted the biggest growth in passenger numbers was the UK, 7.4 percent, followed by the Swiss, 8.3 percent, the Germans, 4 percent and the Danes, 3.84 percent.
