DANCING IN THE STREETS OF PALMA

Palma City Council has come up with a new initiative to inject some more life into the city’s Winter tourism market.

Palma.—Palma way well have lost its international folk dance festival, but the city council  has decided  that between 24 April and 4 May  all of the city centre’s museums, squares, theatres and patios will be the stages for a wealth of contemporary dance and musical acts.
The festival, presented yesterday by the Councillor for Culture and Sport, Fernando Gilet, and the Director of the 365 Tourism Foundation, Pedro Homar, will be called “Palma amb la dance” (Dance Palma) and is going to primarily be  aimed at the British, German and Scandinavian markets.
