Small businesses in Majorca experienced an increase in trade of over 20 million euros in November thanks to the good weather and food sales.
alma.— According to Pimeco, the body which represents small and medium businesses in the Balearics, sales in November last year rose by 20.7 million euros to 248.7 million euros compared with the previous year.
The figures are encouraging but the number of jobs available still fails to reflect the rise in takings.
Employment figures went up prior to December by 1.4% compared with the same period in 2012 but were still down 4.4 percent in comparison to October.
