Palma.—Barely six million people watched the King of Spain´s annual Christmas Eve message on Tuesday night, according to television viewing figures. It was the lowest audience in the last 15 years eventhough the speech was shown by the top three television stations in the country.
There is even further bad news for the Spanish monarchy, which has been rocked by a series of scandals this year, because one television expert suggested that it could have been the worst watched royal message since records began.
